Admission Classification and Number Admitted

  • Option 1: Master of Education (degree program) + ACSI Certification
  • Option 2: Master of Education (degree program) + IBEC (DP and PYP is determined by the teaching license at the time of admission)

Requirements

  • Option 1: a bachelor's degree from a national or university abroad, expected graduate in February 2023, or those who have the same or higher qualifications as university graduates by laws
  • Option 2: a bachelor's degree with a teaching license issued by the government or an accredited institution (without a teaching license, 3+ years of teaching experience required)

  • Interview: Interviews are conducted to evaluate problem solving skills, character, and worldview
  • Selection criteria: Candidates who were not included in the list of first applicants

Documents to be Submitted

  • Application form : JINHAKAPPLY online application
  • 1 self-introduction letter: prescribed form - Download
  • 1 copy of university diploma
  • 1 copy of university transcript (a report card showing the average grade in percentile)
    Those who earned a degree by attending more than one university must submit transcripts from all of the schools
  • 1 copy of employment (career) certificate (only where applicable)
  • 1 copy of teaching license (only where applicable)
  • Receipt of application fee (or capture)

  • Interview: 2023.11.26 (Sat)
  • accepted applicants will be announced in the afternoon of 2023.12.2 (Fri), on the school homepage under “University Notice”, along with tuition information.

Announcement of Interview Location and Accepted Applicants

  • Interview Location: Room 214, 2nd floor, Hyundong Hall (waiting room for examinees)

Program timeline and Method

  • Timeline : 5 semesters (in case of option 2, online classes are held during the semesters)
  • Tuition fee : 2,954,000 won (based on 2022, admission fee 900,000 won separately)
    ※ 15% of the tuition fee is waived as scholarship to both freshmen and current students.
  • Course method : Master's degree - seasonal (Out-of-town residents can stay in the dorm)
    ※ Master’s degree + IBEC program - once every other week for 15 weeks throughout the semester (synchronous, online), seasonal (4 days offline)

Notes for Applicants

A. Precautions for applicants
  • Submitted documents will serve as the main evaluation data, so review all documents carefully before submitting them.
  • All submitted documents will not be returned.
  • Extra space after the first set of accepted applicants will be offered to additional candidates on the waitlist based on their scores.
  • Admission may be canceled if the information provided is different from the documents submitted.
  • Accepted applicants must pay the tuition notified by the university within the registration period; otherwise, admission will be canceled.
  • Leave of absence is not allowed during the first semester of admission (except for military service, pregnancy, childbirth, and parental leave)
  • Announcement of successful applicants and various information can be found on the university homepage
  • Our graduate school grants a MA degree and does not issue a teaching license. (ACSI Teaching Certificate and IBEC may only be obtained by those who applied to the respective programs)
B. Refund policy
  • In case of overpayment by mistake: The amount overpaid
  • In case of failure to apply for admission due to reasons attributable to the university: The full amount of the admission fee paid
  • In case of failure to apply for admission due to natural disasters: The full amount of admission fee paid
  • In case of failure to apply for admission due to hospitalization in a medical institution as a result of illness or accident, or due to one’s own death (applicable only where the relevant matter can be proven): The full amount of the admission fee paid
  • Balance of expenses related to admissions in accordance with the law (reimbursement of admission fee paid by the applicant for admission up to the 60th day before the first day of the semester)
C. Refund method
  • By visiting the school in person
  • By transferring money to an account at a financial institution designated by the recipient
    (The cost of processing the refund is deducted and returned. If the cost of processing the refund is more than the amount to be refunded, it may not be refunded.)

  • A bachelor's degree holder with a teaching license issued by a state or an accredited institution
    (If you do not have a teaching license, you must have more than 3 years of school teaching experience)

Notes for Examinees

A. Notes for examinees
